Overview
This game was developed as an experiment, to see what kind of small game I could write in just a week of evenings, but giving myself a lot of restrictions. It needed to be portable to as many platforms as possible, and it needed near zero art.
What came out of it was a small rogue-lite style game, the premise is that you, and your fleet of spaceships, are being hunted, and you have to attempt to escape. Each jump between star systems would take fuel, which is based on the amount of ships you're transporting, and the distance. When you reach sectors, then events can happen. Your supplies will get worn down. The hunter will get closer and close. How long can you put it off. Can you, maybe, make it to freedom?
At this point, the game builds and runs on Linux and Windows, in both x86 and x86_64 variants. The build system is set up to built for Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Atari Jaguar, Atari ST, Sega Dreamcast, DOS, Sony Playstation, Nintendo GameCube, and Nintendo Wii. I have tested them against the appropriate homebrew toolchains. I will start slowly implementing the few platform specific functions to add them to the officially supported platforms.
